Six teenagers, trapped in the back woods of West Virginia when their cars break down, are hunted down by cannibalistic, inbred mountain men.Friends Jessie (Eliza Dushku) and Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui) are traveling with pals Scott (Jeremy Sisto), Evan (Kevin Zegers) and Francine (Lindy Booth) when they have car trouble in West Virginia. Moments later, motorist Chris (Desmond Harrington) crashes into their disabled vehicle. Stranded, the friends discover that they're being stalked by a horde of backwoods cannibals. The woodsmen are hungry and fierce, and they'll be eating well unless Jessie and pals can outsmart them.Medical student Chris Flynn is on his way to a job interview and is driving through the mountains of West Virginia. Due to a chemical spill in the road ahead, he decides to take a different route, leading him through an abandoned dirt road in the middle of the woods. He then crashes into a car stranded in the center of the road.

Chris crashes into a carload of other young people, and the group of stranded motorists is soon lost in the woods of West Virginia, where they're hunted by three cannibalistic mountain men who are grossly disfigured by generations of inbreeding.An indescribable nightmare begins when a group of young friends is stranded on an isolated road deep in the Appalachian hills of West Virginia, with no hope of rescue. Desperate and fearing for their lives, the horror surges as they find themselves relentlessly pursued by a force of evil beyond their imagination! Featuring a hip ensemble of up-and-coming young stars, this blood-curdling epic is a shock-a-minute horror rush that will leave you screaming for more!The car he crashed into belongs to a group of friends on a hiking trip, which includes Jessie. The car's tires were punctured by barbwire strung across the road. Francine and Evan stay with the cars, while the remainder of the group goes for help, only to find an old cabin isolated in the West Terre Haute woods. Meanwhile, the two who stayed behind are killed by the cannibals. The others discover that the cabin has many grisly horrors inside, such as entrails in a fridge and body parts in the bathtub. The cabin is home to a group of cannibalistic mountain men, who are horribly disfigured due to generations of inbreeding.

The group realize that the owners of the cabin will not be friendly. They hide within the house when the cannibals come back home. The group is forced to watch as the remains of Francine are cut up and eaten. After the cannibals fall asleep the group tries to escape but accidentally wake them. A confrontation erupts with the disfigured men and the group flee through the woods. They spend a couple of days running from the mountain men. They succeed in stealing the cannibals' truck but Scott is killed by being shot with arrows.Steeped in the traditions of classic '70s-style horror movies, Wrong Turn begins with a group of friends stranded in the West Virginia wilderness.A turn down an uncharted dirt road leads six young people into a night of pure terror in this horror story. Chris (Desmond Harrington) is driving through West Virginia on his way to a job interview when an auto accident slows highway traffic to a near standstill.Afraid he'll be late, Chris takes a detour down an old dirt road; a distracted Chris doesn't see an SUV stuck in the middle of the road before it's too late, and he plows into the back after his tires suddenly blow. 

The driver of the SUV, Jessie (Eliza Dushku), was out on a camping trip with four of her friends -- Evan (Kevin Zegers), Francine (Lindy Booth), Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui), and Scott (Jeremy Sisto) -- when their tires went out, and as Jessie and Chris compare notes on their accidents, they discover that the road has been sabotaged with barbed wire. With both parties in need of a telephone, Evan and Francine are left to look after the cars while the other four set out to find help. However, Evan and Francine soon discover they've been led into a horrible trap, and as Chris, Jessie, and their friends search for help, they find that they've fallen victim not to local pranksters, but a gang of inbred backwoods killers with a taste for blood. Wrong Turn was produced in part by Stan Winston, a legendary special-effects artist whose work has appeared in such films as Jurassic Park, Aliens, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Chris and a group of five friends are left stranded deep in the middle of the woods after their cars collide. As they venture deeper into the woods, they face an uncertain and bloodcurdling fate.I did some thinking, I said to myself “Hey, you’re more than a one-trick pony, how about we talk about something other than horror, other films exist you know''...and I was like ok, let’s watch some thrillers then. And while I scrolled and scrolled through Netflix and Amazon’s choices of anything but horror I somehow, kinda accidentally clicked on a horror gem that I had always avoided called Wrong Turn.You may be wondering why I avoided it since 2003! Well personally I was busy and I'm not a creature feature kind of gal, and the idea of weird, deformed mountain folk trying to eat people in the desert/mountain/other large areas sparse of humans, just always felt a little over played and dull. There is little substance and we have seen it time and time again since The Hills Have Eyes came out, but with its upcoming remake release, Amazon was doing a good job pushing it into my feed until I gave in a clicked play.

Wrong Turn tells the story of Chris (Desmond Harrington) who is running late for an important job interview and when he is faced with a highway gridlock he heads onto the back roads and ends up smashing into the only other car on the road...ever...way to go, Chris, with those observation skills I hope you don't get the job.The story begins with Chris (Desmond Harrington) rushing to get somewhere important. The movie doesn’t go into the specifics of where he is racing off to, and maybe it really isn’t important that we know. When he gets stuck behind a traffic jam, he hits the back roads and climbs into the forested mountains of West Virginia. Yes, he took a wrong turn.On his way to wherever he meets a few more young people, including the lovely Jessie (Eliza Dushku). But little do they know that eyes are upon them in the deep, dark woods. And when their members start disappearing, they learn the terrible truth – a family of inbred cannibals means to chop them up, one-by-one.
