HRIDAYAM is a 2022 Indian romantic drama film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Dulquer Salmaan and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles. The film is produced by Mani Ratnam under his production banner Madras Talkies. The music for the film is composed by A. R. Rahman.

The film opens with a shot of a bustling cityscape as the camera zooms in on a young man walking down the street. Back in the present day, we see Aditya struggling to move on from his lost love. He tries to distract himself by throwing himself into his work, but finds himself constantly haunted by memories of Tara. One day, while on a business trip to a small town, Aditya happens to run into Tara, who is now working as a schoolteacher.

The two are initially hesitant to talk to each other, but soon find themselves opening up about their past and the events that led to their breakup. As they spend more time together, they realize that they still have feelings for each other, and begin to rekindle their romance.

However, their happiness is once again short-lived, as Tara's father discovers that she has resumed her relationship with Aditya. This time, he is more furious than ever, and goes to great lengths to break the couple apart. He even tries to get Aditya arrested on false charges, but Aditya manages to prove his innocence.

Finally, Tara's father realizes the depth of his daughter's love for Aditya and gives his blessing to the couple. Aditya and Tara are finally reunited, and the film ends with the two of them walking hand in hand down a quiet street, with the promise of a bright future ahead.

Throughout the film, the audience is treated to a beautiful soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman, which perfectly captures the emotions of the characters. The cinematography is stunning, with Gautham Vasudev Menon expertly capturing both the beauty of the city and the charm of the small town.
