Super 30 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film revolving around the story of mathematics teacher and educator Anand Kumar as well as his educational program of the same name. The film is jointly produced by Phantom Films, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment and HRX Films at a budget of ?600 million. Directed by Vikas Bahl, it is written by Sanjeev Dutta with music composed by Ajay–Atul.The film stars Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar; Mrunal Thakur, Nandish Sandhu, Virendra Saxena, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Srivastava and Amit Sadh play supporting roles. Super 30 marked the official Hindi film debuts of Thakur and Sandhu and the last production of Phantom Films.
Super 30 was distributed by Reliance Entertainment and PVR Pictures. It was theatrically released worldwide on 12 July 2019. The film met with a mixed to positive reviews, with Roshan's performance and the storyline garnering immense praise. With a total global collection of ?2.08 billion, the film finished up as a commercial success and was one of the highest grossing films of 2019.
The movie begins with Fugga, a successful person, giving a talk in London. Fugga recalls his experience of learning from his teacher, Anand Kumar.
The scenes go back in time to show a younger Anand in college. Anand is a lower-class student who has a passion in studies and is good at it. At a local competition felicitation, the local minister, Shriram Singh, proud of him, promises for help whenever needed.
Anand frequently goes to Banaras Hindu University's library to learn mathematics through solving problems in a foreign Math journal. One day, the library supervisor finally catches him, and says that he has no right to read there. One staff member suggests him to get his article published in this journal and earn a free lifetime subscription to it. Anand goes to the post-office, where his father Rajendra works as the head, and posts a letter regarding the solution to a difficult Math problem that no one has been able to solve yet.
