Storyline: Tonic tells the story of 75-year-old retired Jaldhar Sen, who lives with his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. Their relationship is hampered by an authoritarian attitude and the extra rights of the son. The story revolves around the elderly couple's troubles due to family behavior when the son and daughter-in-law celebrate their wedding anniversary in a grand way but their 46th wedding anniversary celebration is planned to be just a small reunion. An old plan for a trip abroad and thus comes to a travel agent named Tonic who later became a miracle maker in later life. 

Due to the non-receipt of some important documents, the foreigner's passport was canceled and his foreign tour was canceled. Jaladhar threatened Tonic a lot because all his dreams were shattered. But, later the elderly couple planned a trip to Darjeeling where Tonic is still with them. Later, it is the joyful presence of the tonic that brings back the lost happiness and love in the Sen family.
