Veeramae Vaagai Soodum (transl. Bravery only wins) is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Thu Pa Saravanan and produced by Vishal and Dato Abdul Malik under the banner of Vishal Film Factory and Malik Streams Corporation. It stars Vishal, Dimple Hayathi, Baburaj in the lead roles. This was also the last film of R. N. R. Manohar, who died in 17th November 2021 from COVID-19 complications & posthumously released in February 2022, after 3 months of his death.The film was released in theatres on 4 February 2022. ^[7] The film underperformed at the box office

 

Plot

Purushottam a.k.a. Porus is an aspiring police trainee, whose aim is to become a IPS officer. He hails from a middle-class family consisting of his father, sister Dwaraka and her mother. However, their happiness is short lived when Dwaraka is murdered by an influential owner Nedunchezhiyan and his brother Elanchezhiyan a.k.a. Ela, as she witnessed the murder of a social activist named Parishuddam, when he started a protest against his factory which destroyed the prosperous village.

 

 

Porus decide to investigate in his own way and also uncover some brutal murders, which is orchestrated by Nedunchezhiyan and his gang. Porus find that another girl along with Dwaraka is also the main witness behind Parishuddham's murder. Nedunchezhiyan's men attack the girl, but Porus arrives in time and thrashes the goons, but couldn't save the girl. However, Porus's friend, who is a hacker received a recording of Dwaraka's confession about the murder, which he gives it to Porus.

After learning from his henchman, Nedunchezhiyan kidnaps Porus's father and tells Porus to hand over the recording or else he would see his father die. Porus brings the recording where he is thrashed by the gang. Porus retaliates by thrashing the gang and also kills Ela. Porus brings Nedunchezhiyan's former rival where he tells him to avenge the latter brother's death. The rival kills Nedunchezhiyan and Porus leaves the factory with his father and finally gets selected for IPS.
